Deborah Bowen
Deborah Bowen, inspired by her mother's lifelong mantra, "Keep your hands busy," runs Studio 78 Glass from her Rosanna property. An active and accomplished glass artist, Deborah creates original works for exhibition, commission, and sale. She also shares her passion for the medium by teaching weekly glass classes and hosting one-off workshops for students of all experience levels.
Classes
Deborah brings a wealth of expertise across a wide range of glass techniques, which she shares through her classes and workshops. Complementing her artistic practice is a long career as a professional teacher, enabling her to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students of all skill levels.
Her home studio is nestled among fruit trees and vegetable gardens in Rosanna, offering a peaceful and inspiring setting. The studio is fully equipped with three kilns, an extensive collection of moulds and stencils, and spacious workbenches. Students have access to a comprehensive range of cold-working equipment, including grinders, a glass saw, ring saw, wet belt sander, and drill press. With excellent lighting, heating, and cooling, the studio provides a comfortable workspace throughout the year.

Deborah creates a wide variety of bespoke window and wall panels, often to the theme of connection, exploring light, refraction and reflection.
